At Ning Hills Tea, we host a monthly tea & chocolate tasting in Amsterdam, exploring how carefully selected Chinese teas interact with artisan chocolate. Sometimes the tea makes the chocolate sweeter. Sometimes the chocolate reveals hidden aromas in the tea.

The result is often surprising — and always memorable.

Each tasting is designed as a relaxed sensory journey where guests discover how texture, aroma, bitterness and sweetness influence each other.

What to expect during the tasting

During the evening, we guide guests through several pairings of tea and chocolate, each chosen to highlight a different flavor interaction.

You will experience:

• Premium Chinese loose leaf teas from our family garden in northern China

We host the tasting once a month on Saturday evenings in Amsterdam.

Each event lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes multiple tea and chocolate pairings.

Because the group size is intentionally small, seats are limited.

Ning Hills Tea is a family-run tea garden in northern China, located in a region known for long winters and slow tea growth.

These conditions create teas with distinctive character — bright green teas, fragrant oolongs, and elegant white teas.
